theresa_chin@brown.edu

Biography

Dr. Theresa Chin joined Global AIM as a postdoctoral research fellow in February 2023. Her research focuses on examining the impact of prenatal nutrition and health interventions on long-term infant brain development using EEG. Dr. Chin earned her PhD in pediatric neuropsychology from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2022. Her previous work explored the co-acting influences of clinical, social, and environmental risk and resilience factors of neurodevelopment in children born with congenital heart disease. She was also involved in the landmark standardization project for the Bayley Scales for Infant and Toddler Development (4th Edition) in Australia and New Zealand. Dr Chin is passionate about research that addresses social and health inequities to ensure that every child, everywhere, has the opportunity to reach their full developmental potential.
